For Couples

Space for the two of you

Time away, combined with intensive relationship work, to reconnect and find your way back to each other.

"You still care for each other. And yet something has shifted, gradually, or more suddenly."

Conversations have become shorter. Connection harder to reach. And you both know that something important is asking for attention.

You've probably talked about doing something. But everyday life takes over, and nothing changes.

Casa Eden is for couples who have decided to actually do something now. Not later. Three whole days dedicated entirely to your relationship.

Why a Couples Intensive?

Sometimes an hour a week isn't enough.

When a relationship feels stuck, fragile or urgent, weekly sessions can leave important conversations hanging between appointments. You open something difficult, then return to work, children, routines and everyday life.

A couples intensive creates a different kind of space.

Three private days to step out of everyday life, slow down, understand the pattern between you and work with it as it happens.

  • 01There is time to go deeper.
  • 02Time to pause.
  • 03Time to try something different.
  • 04And professional guidance throughout.

The aim isn't to talk about your relationship for three days.

It's to experience it differently.

What Shifts

What the intensive format makes possible

Time to be together in it

The intensive format gives you time to actually be together in what you are working through. Between sessions you spend time together and let things land.

Hearing what's beneath

Conversations slow down. You begin to hear what is felt beneath the words. What used to escalate into distance begins to soften.

Safety, honesty, warmth

Safety can begin to return. And with it, honesty, warmth, and closeness. No interruptions. Just the two of you, and everything that surfaces when everyday life is no longer in the way.

The Story

There is a place where time slows down enough to find each other again.

A garden filled with birdsong, warm light, flowers and fruit trees. Almonds, olives, figs, grapes, oranges, papayas, bananas, pomegranates, pecans, chirimoya, kaki, nísperos. Nature everywhere. Alive, abundant, deeply grounding.

The first time I came here, I fell in love instantly. Not only with the garden itself, but with the feeling of this place. Something softened. Something opened. It felt like remembering.

And perhaps that is what Eden has always symbolised.

Not perfection, but the moment before disconnection. Before protection. Before distance. A return to presence, intimacy, honesty, and being fully human together.

Relational work is not always gentle. Sometimes love asks us to face what has been avoided for a long time: the distance, the hurt, the grief, the resentment, the loneliness that can exist even between two people who still care deeply for one another.

This is brave work, and you will not do it alone.

At Casa Eden there is space for the full experience of being human together. For silence. For tears. For honesty. For tenderness. For laughter. For rest. For difficult conversations. For moments of connection that may have been missing for a long time.

This is an intensive about returning. Returning to your senses, to connection and to the emotional needs that make love flourish: to feel seen, chosen, safe, playful, desired and deeply met.

Not by becoming someone else, but by remembering who you already are together.

This is your return.
And, perhaps, a new beginning.

Welcome to Casa Eden.

From a couple
“We decided to come to Casa Eden because we needed a fresh start and wanted to work deeply on our relationship.”

The intensive appealed to us because it offered both intensive couples therapy and a chance to relax in a beautiful setting, something we felt we really needed. A lot changed during the stay, for us as a couple and for each of us individually. We have gained a greater understanding of each other and have learned to communicate more openly and kindly. Our shared goal was increased trust, and we feel that we have already taken important steps forward during the days we were there. We feel hopeful and safe together now, and have tools and new insights to take home with us.

We can warmly recommend Casa Eden to other couples who want to work on their relationship. It is a place where you receive support, guidance, and time to truly meet, while also enjoying beautiful nature, good food, and total relaxation. Sara's way of leading the sessions made us both feel safe, seen, and challenged when needed. The whole arrangement felt thoughtful and welcoming. We also appreciated the opportunity to combine therapy with small excursions, rest in the garden, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It gave a nice balance between work and recovery.

About EFT

The approach behind the intensive

The relational work is based on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), one of the world's most researched and effective approaches developed for couples.

EFT helps couples understand and change the emotional patterns that create conflict, distance, loneliness and disconnection in a relationship.

Rather than focusing on blame or surface-level communication techniques, EFT works with the deeper emotional needs underneath the conflict: the need to feel safe, connected, chosen, understood and emotionally close to the person we love.

Together, we slow down the patterns that arise between you and create new ways of reaching for each other with more honesty, safety and connection.

The goal is not perfection.
It is helping you find your way back to each other.

The programme

How the three days work

Before you arrive, we meet online for an intake call.

Each morning, we work together for two hours. On the second day there is an additional afternoon session.

The rest of the day is yours, to rest, walk, talk and let things land.

After you return home, we meet online again to integrate what has shifted.

While you are here for the work, you are welcome to stay as my guests in the studio on the estate.

About Sara

The person holding the space

Licensed PsychotherapistEFT Trained25 Years Working With People

I am a licensed psychotherapist, and I have spent 25 years working with people who want to understand what lies beneath the surface, in relationships that appear to function, but where something important is missing.

I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples (EFT), a research-based method for rebuilding emotional safety and connection.

Again and again, I witness the same pattern: two people who care deeply for each other, but who are caught in relational patterns neither of them quite understands.

Casa Eden is a way to break those patterns. Intensively, privately, in a place where time and space actually exist. It is not about who is right. It is about what happens between you, and about finding your way back to each other.

Questions

Things couples often ask

Couples who are still committed to each other but feel that something important has shifted, faded, or grown distant. You don't need a label. If you sense your relationship is asking for more, you are who this is for.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is an evidence-based approach for couples developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, rooted in attachment science. Rather than teaching communication tricks, EFT helps you understand the emotional patterns that pull you apart and the deeper longings underneath them, so connection, safety and closeness can return. It is one of the most researched and effective approaches for couples in the world.

No. Many couples come precisely to prevent reaching crisis, while care, respect and love are still present. Others come in the middle of something painful. Both are welcome.

Each morning, a short mindfulness and sound healing session helps the body and nervous system settle before the work begins. Private relational work then takes place during the morning, including a short break. Afternoons and evenings are yours, to integrate and practice, to go to the beach, wander a village, eat well in beautiful surroundings, rest.

While you are here for the work, you are welcome to stay as my guests in the studio on the estate. We go through all the practical details together on your intake call.

The total is 2,800 € per couple. 50% (1,400 €) is due at booking to secure your dates. The remaining 50% is due 60 days before the start of the programme. Payment is made by bank transfer; details are shared once your dates are confirmed.

More than 60 days before the start of the programme: deposit retained, no further charge. 30-60 days before the start: 50% of the total refundable. Less than 30 days before the start: non-refundable, but dates can be moved once within 12 months, subject to availability. In case of illness or emergency we will do our best to reschedule. Travel insurance is strongly recommended. By booking you accept these terms.

If you wish to continue the work after the intensive, there is an option to continue with online relational work.

Yes. For couples who would like additional support before arriving at Casa Eden, it is possible to begin the process online beforehand. This can help create safety, understanding, and momentum before the intensive begins, especially if the relationship has felt distant, fragile, or emotionally stuck for a longer period of time. The pre-intensive package includes two individual sessions and three joint online sessions. Investment: €800. Some couples also choose to continue the work online after the intensive.

The nearest international airport is on the Costa del Sol, about 30 minutes away by car. Uber and taxis work well too. We share detailed directions once your booking is confirmed.

That is more common than you think. You don't both need to arrive certain. You only need to arrive willing. The intake call is a space to talk about that openly, with no pressure either way.
